Application Procedure

Application Procedures

Please have the following supporting documents ready to upload  (in PDF) to the online application form, and select the appropriate programme from the dropdown menu:

  • A scan of your passport
  • A copy of your transcripts/list of courses taken and grades achieved
  • An up-to-date copy of your CV/Resume
  • Pay the non-refundable €25 application fee by credit card.
  • A letter of motivation of maximum 750 words answering the following questions: (1) What is it that you want to understand about cycling and why? (2) What unique view, skills, and/or background will you bring to the programme? (3) What do you think is the biggest challenge for cycling in your city and why? Note: this is the most important part of your application.
  •  One week before the start of the programme, successful applicants are asked to upload a copy of their certificate from the online course Unravelling the Cycling City (Coursera) (see pre-requisites for this course for more info)
  • For professionals: a letter of support from management or direct leadership at your organisation confirming your full-time participation in the programme

 

Early admission deadline

Students who require a Schengen Visa to study in the Netherlands are strongly advised to apply before the early deadline to ensure there is enough time to secure a visa appointment before the programme begins.

  • Deadline: Thursday 1 February 2024
  • Admissions decision: we aim to have a decision back to you as soon as possible, but by 26 February 2024 at the latest.
  • Payment deadline (tuition and housing) must be submitted within 2 weeks after being accepted in the programme.

Regular admission deadline

  • Deadline: Friday 15 March 2024
  • Admissions decision: we aim to have a decision back to you as soon as possible, but by 15 April 2023 at the latest.
  • Payment deadline (tuition and housing) must be submitted within 1 week after being accepted in the programme.
