Application deadline: Early Admissions Deadline (1 February 2021). These scholarships are offered on a first-come first-served basis. Therefore, we recommend that students from partner universities apply by the Early Admissions deadline as spaces are limited and this is a popular scholarship opportunity.
Eligibility requirements: Applicants must be current, full-time, students (at the time of application) registered at a LERU or U21 University. Please see the LERU and U21 websites to see if your university qualifies.
Qualifying programmes: All on-site university level summer programmes organized by the Summer Programmes Office at the Graduate School of Social Sciences (excludes Pre-University Honours Programmes, and online courses).
Scholarship value: €250 tuition fee reduction. If accepted, the amount will be deducted from your tuition fee upon payment in our webshop.
Description: If your home university is a member of the League of European Research Universities or the Universitas 21, then you are eligible to apply. Students from Dutch universities on this list are not eligible for scholarships.
How to apply: When applying via the online application system, please indicate this opportunity in the scholarship section. No extra documentation is required, but students who do not self-indicate this scholarship in the application form will not be considered for this opportunity.
Description: The social media scholarship is a €250 tuition fee reduction in exchange for content collection and creation about your experience as a summer programmes student. The scholarship receivers will report in a form that suits them and their skills. Examples include; photography, videography and/or writing/blogging (in English). Are you excited about social media in general or do you feel at home behind a camera? Then this is a great opportunity for you!
Application deadline: Last date to apply is the regular admission deadline 1 May 2021. These scholarships will be awarded on a rolling basis.
Qualifying programmes: All on-site university level summer programmes organised by the Summer Programmes Office at the Graduate School of Social Sciences.
Number of available scholarships: 2 Scholarships with a value of €250 each.
How to apply: To apply for this scholarship, please write personal statement of one page in which you introduce yourself and describe relevant skills and experiences in addition to your programme specific letter of motivation. Shortly discuss your ideas for the ways in which you would like to report on your programme during the summer and include a link to your online portfolio, Instagram page and/or blog.
Description: Have you participated in a summer programme organized through our office before? If so, we'd be excited to welcome your application for another of our programmes! The alumni discount is valid for all summer programmes alumni (students and professionals) who would like to continue their education with us in Amsterdam.
Qualifying programmes: All on-site university level Summer Programmes (excludes Pre-University Honours Programmes, applicants to the Comprehensive Introduction to Research Methodology and Design, and participants in online courses).
Number of available discounts: 1 per alumn. Cannot be combined with other scholarships.

How to apply: In your letter of motivation, please mention the name of the previous programme you attended, and the year.

Eligibility requirements: The Amsterdam University Fund is sponsoring partial scholarships to help students cover the cost of travelling to Amsterdam. Applicants must live outside of the Netherlands in order to be eligible.
Qualifying programmes: All on-site university level Summer Programmes.
Scholarship value:
Description: The AUF provides scholarships to help cover the cost of travel to the Netherlands for international students. Priority will be given to University of Amsterdam alumni residing in countries outside the Netherlands.
How to apply: When applying via the online application system, please indicate this opportunity in the scholarship section. Please write a one-page addendum to your motivation letter which states why you need the travel grant in order to participate in the summer programme.
If you do not include this addendum at the time of your application, you will not be considered for the grant.
This scholarship is now closed for applications.
Application deadline: 5 January 2021. Applications must be completed and submitted before 16:00, when the application portal closes.
Eligibility requirements for applicants: This scholarship is for mid-career working professionals who are nationals of, and living and working in one of the listed countries.
Scholarship value: These full scholarships cover participation in the programme, travel to Amsterdam, insurance, and housing (including a small daily expense stipend) and are funded by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The final amount is determined by the OKP Committee.
After you apply in Delta: The Summer Programmes Office team will review all completed applications in Delta in the days after the deadline. Due to the high volume of applications received, only complete applications will be accepted.

Eligibility requirements: Applicants must be professionals who are nationals of (and living and working) in one of the listed countries. In order to apply for the fellowship, applicants must have the support of their employer. There must also be a clear need for training within the context of the organisation/company.

Scholarship value: Total fellowship value is determined by the MSP committee, and is funded by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Description: The MENA Scholarship Programme, aims to contribute to capacity building within organisations in MENA countries by providing fellowships for training and education for professionals in the Netherlands. It also aims at strengthening the relations between the participating countries and The Netherlands by building a sustainable alumni network.
How to apply: In order to apply for the fellowship, applicants must have the support of their employer and there also has to be a clear need for training within the context of their organisation/company.
