Credits

As a Summer Institute student you will either receive

  • an official certificate (non-credit)
  • or both a certificate and a transcript (credit)

with an official seal from the University of Amsterdam, provided of course that you meet all requirements. At the conclusion of the programme, students taking the course for credit will have a months time to complete a written assignment that will be graded by the Academic Directors.

Students who wish to earn credits receive, upon successful completion of the programme, an official transcript stating the courses taken, credits earned and grades obtained. The programme is the equivalent of a 5 European Credits (ECTS) module if the requirements are fulfilled.

Students are responsible for ensuring that their home university will accept the credits and final credit conversions need to be made by the home university. For more information on the credit transfer, you should contact your home university.
