I was sure I wanted to continue down the road of pursuing an academic career in neuroscience. Besides that, this master gave me the change to broaden my view of neuroscience. Psychobiology is a very “factual” study. In the master I was able to pick courses I never had before and study other things that can also be very important in science, such as philosophy.

The master has a student-union (Cognito) that is not corporal at all, which was exactly something that I missed during my bachelor. I finally had the chance to join a board that just wanted to make the study even better and more fun for their students. Because of this, I could truly enjoy the community that belongs to this master.

Everybody has to work hard at the University, but it gave me exactly what I wanted: fun and a solid education that will help me get a career. And now my dream has come true! I am a PhD student at the lab of prof. Roelfsema (Vision and Cognition) at the Netherlands Institute of Neuroscience!
