Tenth Annual JAGS and Stan Workshop: Bayesian Modeling for Cognitive Science

Experience first-hand how a Bayesian approach to data analysis can improve inference and increase understanding. And obtain practical experience with JAGS or WinBUGS, easy-to-use computer programs that allow the user to implement all kinds of Bayesian models.

As you are certainly aware, many events around the globe have been canceled due to the spread of COVID-19. We, too, are currently closely monitoring the unfolding situation and are carefully considering plans for the upcoming workshop.

At this time, we still hope that by mid August the public health crisis will have passed, so that the workshop can take place as planned. However, if COVID-19 continues to pose a threat, we intend to postpone the workshop to a later date.

If you wish to cancel your registration due to COVID-19 related reasons, please let us know at Should the workshop be postponed, or should you decide to cancel your registration, we will obviously issue a full refund.

Tenth Annual JAGS and Stan Workshop: Bayesian Modeling for Cognitive Science

August 17 – 21, 2020

In this workshop, plenary lectures provide the theoretical background of Bayesian inference, and practical computer exercises teach you how to apply the popular JAGS and Stan software to a wide range of different statistical models. After completing this workshop, you will have gained not only a new understanding of statistics, but also the technical skills to implement models that are appropriate for the substantive hypotheses that you seek to test.
